Apprentice Medical Scribe Program

Provides training and preparation for students to pass the American Healthcare Documentation Professionals Group Medical Scribe Certification Exam. After achieving the apprentice credential and recording 200 hours of documented front-line, on-the-job medical scribe experience, the student will be eligible to achieve Certified Medical Scribe Professional (CMSP) status. Students will receive training in Health Information Management, medical terminology, and a wide variety of healthcare basics as they learn to gather information from patient visits to their doctors, and enter it “real time” into the proper electronic health records systems.
