The fundamentals for Manual Machine Tool practices for the Lathe, Mill, and Drill Press will be explained and demonstrated during this class. Topics include: machine tool safety, proper drilling speeds, different types of drill bits and their coatings related to drill press operations. How to dial-in an out-of-round shaft in a four-jaw lathe chuck. Turning and milling speeds along with feed rates will be put into practice during this class.
