Erik McCormick, CDL director of operations for Ancora Training, partners with Virginia’s Community Colleges to deliver an accelerated, four-week commercial driver’s license (CDL) program designed to prepare students for immediate success in the workforce.
Ancora Training, part of Ancora Education, offers hands-on experience in high-demand fields, including health care, IT, skilled trades and transportation. By collaborating with Virginia’s Community Colleges, employers and government agencies, Ancora Training helps create accessible pathways to careers that do not require a traditional four-year degree.
Hands-On Training and Career Outcomes
Through this partnership, students from Virginia’s Community Colleges receive on-site CDL training, making the program both flexible and accessible.
During the four week program, students gain comprehensive instruction, from earning a commercial learner’s permit and understanding industry regulations to developing practical, behind-the-wheel experience.
Upon completing the program, students are equipped to obtain their CDL and enter the workforce quickly. Many graduates secure positions with starting salaries ranging from $60,000 to $70,000, offering a strong foundation for long-term career growth.
