As part of FastForward training programs, career coaches provide personalized support and resources to help students navigate job applications, prepare for interviews, build resumes and more. FastForward is designed to equip students with the skills needed for in-demand careers, while career coaches serve as a resource to help them successfully enter the workforce.
Build Your Resume
Creating or polishing a resume can be challenging, but FastForward career coaches are there to help. They work with students to develop polished, professional resumes tailored to their skills and career goals. After enrolling, connect with your career coach for guidance and additional resources available through the college’s career center.
Sharpen Your Interview Skills
It’s easy to feel intimated by an upcoming interview, but practice and preparation make a difference. Career coaches offer one-on-one support to help students build confidence, refine their talking points and understand what employers are looking for. Students can meet with their coach to take advantage of interview preparation and networking opportunities.

FastForward supports students beyond the classroom, helping them take the next step into meaningful careers. Courtney Camden, a workforce development career coach at Central Virginia Community College, sees that impact firsthand.
