Prerequisite – Welding Fundamentals or previous welding experience is recommended. This class focuses on welding and fabrication skills used in building welded metal projects. Students will create a working drawing from a shop project, complete with a bill of materials, factor in total costs and weight of their project. They will cut and tack-weld all components together, and make final welds to complete the job. The 68-hour Medication Administration Course is a Virginia Board of Nursing-approved program. In this program, participants will learn how to administer and assist patients in self-administering medications, including blood sugar checks and insulin injections, in the assisted living environment. The curriculum includes 44 hours of online training and 24 hours of supervised clinical instruction at an assisted living facility.
