WCG Shielded Metal Arc Welding SMAW

Introduction to Shielded Metal Arc Welding, often referred to as stick welding. Course provides lecture and lab instruction in safety as well as the necessary utilization of the SMAW electrode in multiple positions in accordance to American Welding Society specifications. Lab provides direct hands-on applications with multiple electrode types; lectures provide operational theory with emphasis on safety. Skills acquired in SMAW are taken to the next step toward successful testing in accordance with American Welding Society specifications.
