There is nothing we love seeing more than when a student succeeds in their program of study. We all have our own reasons and motivations for pursuing a certificate or degree program, and for these four students, we know their future will be bright.

Abbey Middleton graduated from the Powerline Worker program at Mountain Empire Community College. Graduates of the program leave with both the powerline worker certification and a CDL-A. She is currently employed by Scott County Telephone.

Noah McAdams received the “Head of the Class” award as he works to complete the HVACR program this fall at Eastern Show Community College. At only 17 years old, Noah is very knowledgeable and has a bright future.

Timothy Worrell is another HVAC graduate but from Camp Community College. After graduating from Camp, he opened TZT HVAC, LLC (named after his children) and began offering HVAC services to the Hampton Roads area. He currently works for Sunday Morning Services HVAC in Portsmouth.

At Brightpoint Community College, Heilie Sheppard loves machining and mechanical engineering. She landed a new machining job her first semester and is on her way to earning a machinist journeyman card, completing an apprenticeship and earning a bachelor’s degree.
